Dr. Tad Jarrett

Dr. Tad Jarrett, owner of Brazos Animal Hospital, opened the hospital in 1987. A native of Mission, Texas, Dr. Jarrett previously practiced medicine at Beaumont Veterinary Associates from 1986 to 1987.

A graduate of Texas A&M University, Dr. Jarrett received his Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science in 1981. He went on to attend the Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine and was awarded his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1986. His professional interests include internal medicine and surgery.

Dr. Jarrett is actively involved in the Mineral Wells community. He is a member of the Texas Veterinary Medical Association, the Tarrant County Veterinary Medical Association, the American Animal Hospital Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association. In 2006, he was named the "Employer of the Year" by the Mineral Wells Chamber of Commerce. He and his family are members of the First United Methodist Church in Mineral Wells.

At home, Dr. Jarrett cares for a number of pets, including dogs Turk, Squirty, Maggie, Brodie and Penny and cats Larry, Hannah, Jerri and Mr. Butler. His hobbies include golf, movies, carpentry, traveling and spending time with his wife, Karen, the office manager at Brazos Animal Hospital. Their family includes three children and two grandchildren.
