Karen Jarrett

Karen Jarrett, Business Manager

Brazos Animal Hospital business manager Karen Jarrett co-owns the hospital with her husband, Dr. Tad Jarrett. A native of Mineral Wells, Karen is proud of the professional, excellent care provided by the staff.

Karen is the Audit Team Lead at Palo Pinto County Cowboy Church. Her hobbies include reading, swimming, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren. At home, she cares for four dogs and one cat.




Angela Barham

Angela Barham, Practice Manager

A native of Mineral Wells, Texas, practice manager Angela Barham joined the Brazos Animal Hospital staff in June 2001. A graduate of Mineral Wells High School, Angela attended Tarleton State University and McLennan Community College, where she received an Associate's Degree in Nursing. Angela thrives on the family-like atmosphere in the hospital and the high quality care provided by the staff.

Angela is the Kids Korral Team Lead at Palo Pinto County Cowboy Church. She enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, having cookouts with family and friends, swimming, movies and music. At home, she cares for four dogs and two cats.




Diana Mills

Diana Mills, Receptionist

Diana Mills is our lead receptionist and has been with Brazos Animal Hospital since December of 2010, but began her career in the animal care field in 1992. She grew up just down the road from Mineral Wells in Weatherford, Texas, and attended Weatherford High School.

"I enjoy working at Brazos Animal Hospital because the people here are very professional and care deeply for the animals that come into the clinic," she says. "The staff is very friendly and family based and it simply is a great place to work."

At home, Diana has a Chihuahua. Her interests include collecting books and miniature tea sets, reading, baking, making scented candles, crafts and spending time with her family. She also prepares wedding flowers and decorates for weddings, and is a Mary Kay Beauty consultant.




Susan Salter

Susan Salter, Receptionist

Susan Salter is one of Brazos Animal Hospital's receptionists. A staff member since 2003, Susan loves the family-like atmosphere at the hospital.

Susan's hobbies include horseback riding and camping. At home, she cares for one dog and 11 cats.




Savannah Carpenter

Savannah Carpenter, Receptionist

Savannah Carpenter, one of our exceptional receptionists, has been a full time member of the Brazos Animal Hospital staff since August of 2016. Having worked in the animal field for over 14 years, Savannah began her career at Bowie Drive Animal Hospital, later moving on to work with North Texas Veterinary Hospital. We are now proud to say that Savannah is now hard at work here for us at Brazos.

While at home, Savannah likes to hang out with friends and family. She can be found watching the Texas Rangers and the Dallas Cowboys whenever there is a game. She has a 5 year old Matlipoo, named Sophie, who is happy to keep her company at home.




Kirsten Roberts

Kirsten Roberts, Veterinary Technician

Beginning early March of 2017, Kirsten Roberts has been a hard-working member of our veterinary technician staff. Growing up in Royse City, Texas, Kirsten developed a passion for the animal field early. Prior to her involvement with Brazos Animal Hospital, Kirsten worked with Altamont Sport Horses, Burleson Equine Hospital, and Garner Equine over the course of 5 years, learning lots along the way.

While studying at The University of Findlay, with a pet-vet emphasis on equine, Kirsten graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor’s in Animal Science, with a minor in chemistry. Kirsten is currently attending San Juan College, and is pursuing a Veterinary Technician degree for December 2018.

At home, Kirsten owns a 6 year old chocolate lab, named Baylee, a 13 year old Appaloosa horse named Altoid, and a 10 year old Paint horse named Hank. Kirsten is outgoing and enjoys meeting new people and their pets. She loves most things outside, and likes to go fishing, hunting, and playing tennis.




Misty Harkins

Misty Harkins, Veterinary Technician

Misty Harkins, one of our extraordinary veterinary technicians, has been working with Brazos Animal Hospital since September 2016. Before coming to Brazos, Misty worked with clinicals at VCA Corpus Christi, Texas. She attended Purdue University, studying Animal Science from 2003 – 2008.

As a mother of 3, Misty spends her free time with her family and 3 daughters. She likes going to softball and volleyball practices and games. Not only does she like attending, but Misty also helps coach 3 volleyball teams, divisions 8u, 12u, and 14u. Her 14u division team won the State Championship in 2016!

Carissa Ann Brawly

Carissa Ann Brawly, Veterinary Technician

Veterinary Technician Carissa Ann Brawly has been working in the animal care field for nine years and joined the dedicated team at Brazos Animal Hospital this past March. Carissa graduated from Weatherford High School and has continued her studies at Weatherford College and Cedar Valley College. She enjoys working at Brazos Animal Hospital "because they are family oriented and they want you to learn."

When not at the hospital, Carissa spends her free time running, eating, baking, crafting and working on her Ford Mustang. She has two pit bulls named Chance and Willow and three cats named Casper, Elvis and Nyx.




Kelsey Rae Kline

Kelsey Rae Kline, Kennel Technician

Kelsey Rae Kline has been a kennel technician with Brazos Animal Hospital since the summer of 2014. After graduating from Mineral Wells High School, she earned her certification as a veterinary assistant through Penn Foster College.

"The staff is very well educated and know what they're doing," she says of Brazos Animal Hospital. "I trust them with my own animals."

Outside of work, Kelsey keeps busy with her three-year-old and three dogs - a Pit Bull named Jase, a Basset Hound named Coon, and a Blue Heeler named Deuce. She also works with the H3R rescue group to assist with rescuing and rehoming herding dog breeds.




Jeremy DeWitt

Jeremy DeWitt, Kennel Technician

Say hello to Jeremy DeWitt, one of our outstanding kennel technicians. Jeremy has been a part time working member of Brazos Animal Hospital since early May of 2017. Having grown up in Weatherford, Texas, Jeremy kept his close to his local roots. Attending Weatherford Community College, Jeremy hopes to graduate in July with a Certificate of Veterinary Tech. Assistant.

At home, Jeremy has an 8 year old Maltese / Bichon mix named Minney, and two labs, one 5 years old named Odin, and the other named Rose, who is 1 year old. He is a member of the American Kennel Club, and enjoys spending his day with animals. In his free time, Jeremy likes to garden, cook, read, and spend time with his family.

Theresa Peterson

Theresa Peterson, Groomer

Since June of 2015, Theresa Peterson has been our dedicated groomer. She graduated from Mineral Wells High School and has nearly a decade of experience in the field.

"I love my job," she says. "It's a good place to work. They are very good at what they do and always try to help out."

Theresa has a Pit Bull named Angel and enjoys swimming in the river, playing pool, and watching movies and football.
